The PinPoint Card is about to undergo some significant changes. These changes are designed to maximize the value of discounts and rewards enjoyed by PinPoint Card holders. We want to make sure card holders understand the simple steps they will need to take to enjoy greater rewards than ever through the PinPoint Program.
- Effective January 1st, 2012 the PinPoint Card will provide discounts and rewards only, and will no longer function as a payment card.
- Those enrolling in the program for the first time after December 1, 2012 will not have to provide any bank account information, as the function for which this was used will be discontinued. Bank account information for existing members will be DELETED from our system after December 31, 2011, as it will no longer be used.
- PinPoint will continue to be a completely FREE program to consumers. There is no cost to enroll in the program or use the card.
- For existing members, no action is necessary to facilitate this change. They will NOT have to re-enroll. They can continue using their existing PinPoint Cards as they always have through December 31, 2011. PinPoint will issue all existing members a new card by the end of December.
- Card holders will no longer need to use a PIN when using the card, as this was required only as a security measure related to payment function, which is being discontinued.
- Card holders will no longer be asked to swipe their own card through the wireless terminals that some of our PinPoint restaurant locations were using.
- Existing members may continue to use their existing cards, earn discounts and build rewards as usual through December 31st, 2011. All existing points and promotions will be transferred to your new card on that day. While PinPoint Merchants will only accept the newly issued cards after December 31st, 2011, they will still honor any PinPoint reward or couple earned with the old cards.
- All of the existing discounts and awards that PinPoint merchants have been offering will remain in effect, although we have changed the names of some of the "perks." Also, some merchants may make changes to their own PinPoint offers at their discretion - now or in the future.
- One dollar will continue to equal one point in the rewards program. In addition, our software upgrade will make it possible for several merchants will offer double and triple points during certain days of the week, and certain times of the day, so you can earn your awards even faster at your favorite PinPoint merchants!
- The Omaha Restaurant Tax monthly rebate program will be discontinued, as it will no longer be feasible after we delete members' bank account information from our system.
- The PinPoint program will be unavailable to PinPoint members at all PinPoint merchant locations between January 1st and January 3rd, 2012 to enable PinPoint to update its software and remove the payment option. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, but it is a necessary step to launch the new direction for PinPoint.
